Diferential shafts are the ideal solution for rewinding multiple, independent rolls on the same shaft, as each one needs a particular web tension.
During the rewinding process of multiple rolls, obtained after the cutting process of aplastic film or paper or any other material, it is common that there are important differences in thickness and, consequently, belt tension differences.
To solve this problem, the diferential shafts guarantee a different management of the rolls, fixing in one or several rings friction the core of each roll for precise rewinding and uniform web tension on each coil.
Ball slip rings (individual clutches) are made of aluminum hard anodized or steel.
An internal ball bearing increases the robustness of the ring, even if it is made of aluminium, and makes the sliding action more fluid.
