Strips expanding airshafts are available in extruded aluminium or steel tube profile, manufactured to ensure a perfect grip of the cores of any type of coil.
Air, blown through a valve, inflates the air chambers and forces the strips to expand and grip the inside diameter of the coil.
A wide range of standard shafts sections are available in diameters ranging from Ø18 mm to Ø12", and in other dimensions on request.
Different types of strips and surface treatments are also available.
For those applications with narrow coil that allow it, we have expandible shafts with a single journal that can work in cantilevered.
Rubber strip expandible shafts are the most common and successful family on these shafts. They are made up of two parts: the table, which is the central expandible section, and which is generally made from extruded aluminium tube, although it can also be made from steel tube which is subsequently machined. Journals always in steel and according to the customer's plan or specific need std steel or upgraded.
We manufacture expandable shafts for the most common core sizes between Ø1" and Ø12", although we can manufacture any size on request, controlling strips material, journal and body treatment to suit any particular application.
For this, our technical office staff will help you throughout the process, developing the approval plans and resolving any doubts that may arise.
